Much to my delight, a message was returned within a few days. The 5th (I believe) great grandson of William Long Dimmitt, Arch McKirdy messaged me and provided me a much deeper look into our families history.
Arch is a masterful genealogist, and I am SO impressed with his work. He provided me with information and photos which I did not have.

Either way, it seems as if William's actions weren't appreciated by the authorities. I'm curious what it was, if anyone can read this better than I.

I am so grateful for Arch McKirdy and his wonderful genealogical research. I'd love to hear family stories he's garnered through the years. I have a feeling we would get so much deeper understanding of the life of our beloved family.
